I am a Los Angeles-based artist (b. 1995) whose work explores the intersections of sculpture, adornment, and the passage of time. Through a meticulous process of translation, I develop a visual lexicon derived from choreography drawings—symbols of movement extracted from "drawn melodies"—which I then render onto fabric using intricate beadwork.
In my practice, the act of making is an exercise in endurance and preparation, as I investigate the physical and symbolic weight of the vessel. My compositions often take the form of future burial shrouds, transforming garments into sites of ritual, transition, and decay. By dedicating my life’s work to the assembly of my own shroud, and the relics that lie among it, I explore the tension between ephemeral performance and the permanent relic. I position my practice as a lifelong labor of self-memorialization and a material study of mortality.
